About Roots

In mathematics, the nth root of a number is a value that, when raised to the power of n, gives the original number. The most common roots are square roots (n=2) and cube roots (n=3).

Examples:

√9 = 3 (because 3 × 3 = 9)

∛27 = 3 (because 3 × 3 × 3 = 27)

⁴√16 = 2 (because 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 = 16)
